IV Jazz Pianists Competition - DEBUTS

STATUTE

1. The Foundation of the Author′s Debut is a competition organiser. The prizes are awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, after the jury’s verdict.
2. The competition jurors are: the musicians taking part in the V Warsaw Jazz Pianists Festival, a music critic and a foundation representative.
3. The participants should be young pianists not awarded individually hitherto, except those who have been awarded in other competitions in 2007.
4. Jury awards three financial prizes and the diplomas for the winners, who are then invited to participate in the festival concert. The prize-winner’s participation in the festival concert is obligatory. Jury is allowed to make a different division of the prizes.
5. The competition participants arrive to the audition at their own charge.
6. The organiser provides accommodation only for the winners taking part in the festival concert.
7. The application forms must be sent to 10th September, 2007 at: Fundacja Debiutu Autorskiego, ul. Narbutta 27A m 9; 02- 536 Warszawa
8. Fill in your surname, name, address, telephone No., e-mail address, date of birth, detailed information on the musical education and some information about your past artistic activity. 9. The participant of the finale is obliged to present a 20-minute composition based on jazz standard. It is allowed to present own compositions not exceeding 1/3 of the program.
10. The audition will take place in Sala Mazowieckiego Centrum Kultury at 12 Elektoralna St. (ul. Elektoralna 12) in Warsaw, on 10 October 2007 since 11.00 am. The invitation to the audition will be sent to those, whose recordings are accepted in preliminaries.
